Llangain facts
Llangain is a Gower-edge settlement of lanes, hedge banks, farmland and older stone boundaries. It is part of the Carmarthen, the Tywi & the Taf Estuary area, within about 30 miles of Swansea.
- The ruined fifteenth-century great house Castell Moel overlooks the Tywi here.
- The parish holds prehistoric standing stones and chambered tombs on the Tywi's north bank.
- Sits on or close to the Gower Peninsula, the United Kingdom's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, designated in 1956.
